Welcome to VoiceGenie (“the App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a positive user experience. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Text-to-Speech (TTS) and related services. By using VoiceGenie, you agree to the practices described below.

1 · Information We Collect and How We Use It

Type of data	Purpose & handling
Text Input	Your typed or pasted text is transmitted over HTTPS to Google Cloud WaveNet solely to generate audio. We neither store nor share this text.
Camera Scan (OCR)	When you tap Scan Text, the camera permission is requested. The captured image is processed locally or via a trusted on-device OCR library; the image is discarded immediately after extraction. Extracted text is handled exactly like manual input.
Saved Audio Files	Generated MP3/WAV files you choose to save remain in your device’s internal storage. VoiceGenie does not upload them anywhere.
Advertising ID & Ad Metrics	Banner ads are delivered by Google AdMob. The SDK receives the Android Advertising ID, coarse location (city-level), and in-app interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can reset the Ad ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings.
Crash Diagnostics	We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version) to improve stability. No personal identifiers are included.
In-App Purchases	Premium voices are purchased through Google Play Billing. We receive only a purchase-confirmation token; payment details are processed by Google over TLS 1.2+.

2 · Personal Data

Basic TTS features do not require you to provide personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.). If future updates integrate analytics for feature improvement, only non-identifiable usage data will be collected and you will be able to opt out.

3 · Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your text data or any personal information. Data is shared only with Google Cloud WaveNet to generate audio, or if required by law.

4 · Data Security

All communication with Google servers occurs over HTTPS.
Audio files are stored in application-private storage, inaccessible to other apps without explicit permission.

5 · Children’s Privacy

VoiceGenie is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Contact us promptly if you believe we have inadvertently collected such data.

6 · Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, email us at mahrazmohamed10@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours.

7 · Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will appear on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance.

8 · Request Data Deletion

Email mahrazmohamed10@gmail.com with the subject line “VoiceGenie – Delete My Data” and we will erase all associated records within 48 hours.

When you first launch the app, you may be prompted to provide consent for:

Personalized ads: Ads based on your interests and activity
Non-personalized ads: Ads shown based on general context and location
